Let's see if this book can be judged by its cover. Looks like they keep it in the family too - there's a lot of Chambers on here. Wow, Kasey Chambers has a surprisingly childlike voice, but it is pretty countryish. Well okay fine, it's a country record. The voice makes it cute, but in true country fashion, it's awfully depressing if you listen to it closely. "Hollywood" sounds so despondent. if i were... but i'm not... Okay it's not straight country - more like the girly-softrock that just by virtue ends up sounding like country because of the tempo and the cracking voice. But there's lap steel in this too. Oh screw it, it's a country record. It's very cute and quaint though, very open-aired, horseback, biscuits-and-gravy.
