James Blunt
Back To Bedlam.

Release Date : October 4, 2005.
Label: Atlantic.
Rating: Andy doesn't dig rating stuff.

This is 'pleasant' in a cheesy, corny, singer songwritery way. This is all for teen dramas. James Blunt has a crazy voice, all over the place, kinda like Ké. How are there blatant swear words in this???! (this album contains lyrics of an adult nature)... it's just way too singsongerly sappy for my liking. Not in an inspiring, awesome way like the Rob Dickinson album, but rather in a wimpy, overloving way. I dunno, it feels unimaginative and vaguely contrived, like it was written for television scores. Some of the more interesting bits of the album (like the startlingly engaging intro of "Wisemen") just sound too much like pop songs. Argh. Rough. There are tiny moments of glory, but instead of it being weepy and lovelorn, it's just... simpering! This guy needs to learn how to be a man. Hah. Sorry, James Blunt, try again.

Song of choice : Again, cheesily so, i kinda like "Out Of My Mind", it has a bit of a jive and the chorus is pretty in an I-can-really-only-listen-to-this-once manner.
