This album comes across like the gentle BRMC tunes. It harbours lovely tinkly pianos and gentle sounds, soft, monotone, lullabye-like voices. It's pretty unique for right now - it has the aura of a trendy band ballad, but the entire album is this chimy pretty stuff. That's really interesting. I dig it a lot. Soft nighttime driving music (just don't drift off to sleep at the wheel). Considering the songs don't change too much there's not tons to say, but it is a very pleasant album. Scratch that, "Pills". Oh my god it makes me so sad. One may think that we're all right / but we need pills to sleep at night / we need ligths to make it throught the day / we're not okay... This song is filled with touching male-female vocals. As well, the opening track, "Weekends," is so touching about a stranger. what darlings! This band is a charmer.
Song of choice :
I love the words and tone of "Pills", but as well, that story in "Weekends" is just too adorable.
