Dirty dirty dirty. Chicks in cowboy hats and hot pants come to mind, walls of amps, shelves of guitars, whiskey, sex, fire... It's a hard-hitting record, produced by none other than the Canadian god of dirty rock n roll, Ian Blurton. While I imagine this would be phenomenally exciting to watch live, I can't help but think there's a little something soft about the recording. Maybe the vocals are too prominent (and flat), but something sounds semi-false about it. That said, it is quirky and fun and good to run around to. Good clapalongs, the voice sounds more into it. This disc gets more and more interesting the further along it goes. Crunchy guitars and strange chunky songs with this low grunge... I mean, mud, not Nirvana. Wicked fucking fun.
Song of choice :
Really like "The King" for its absurdness.
