Cute party tunes, but to me this is a challenging album to analyze. Maybe because, despite its obvious 'selling point' of not having any primary vocals, it doesn't really stand out in the world of remix/dance/pop/new wave club albums. It just sounds like something cut on the fly by a talented DJ at a trendy night spot. Which is cool for club nights but I don't get much substance out of this. But keep it in mind to toss on at your new year's eve party. All that said, there's some very cool sounding bits and pieces in here, most strikingly (haha) on "The Power Is On." Really huge, thumping drums and synth things. Goes on a bit much for my liking with this genre, just as a listening thing. Lots of horns, which is neat and adds to that 'remix' feeling.
Song of choice :
Sticking it out with "The Power Is On."
