Cute opening song - a sweet singer-songwritery voice lilts over a kids-xylophone sounding noise and a jumpy little guitar. Wojcik isn't a spectacular vocalist, but she has a certain array of ticks and cricks and wibbles that make her interesting. It's really bedroom-session - everything sounds a little choppy and imperfect. The lyrics are quirky and fun. All the tunes are gentle and quiet... but quietly vindictive? There's a lot of angst here, but it's a coffee-shop album. Think Phoebe off "Friends." Only more accomplished. Yes they are actually songs but they're soft and chippy and 'well, whatever' dismissive. Hahah how comical after saying that now I get to track 6 "Fuck You (I Quit)." Haha this song has me in stitches. It sounds so cute but it's so stabbing. Hah! Rad.
Song of choice :
Oh, "Fuck You (I Quit)" is so my favourite.
