a.m.elevator
Self-titled.

Release Date : 2006.
Label: Second Records.
Rating: Meh. (Screw points. To each his own!)

I'm not completely sure about a.m. elevator and where they aim to go with this music. It's unsophisticated indie rock that sounds like it was created around 1996. When I say 'indie,' I don't mean ultra-cool underground rock. I mean a bunch of beer buddies who went out and bought leather jackets and orange sunglasses and spent way too long in a local recording studio putting together an album they thought would make them cool. It's not doing a good job at that. The lyrics lack spark, the music lacks interest, the voice lacks panache. It's just a bizarre album with too many ooh-oh-ba-ba-oh types stuff that comes across as filler for an absence of imaginative lyrics. The fact that every line seems to be repeated 600 times just secures that. Yeah I think I need to stop listening now.

Song of choice : No favourites. Argh!
