Odd! I mean, good, I think. But quirky at times. I'm generally a fan of quirky.
Things like the unexpected chorus in "One More Time" or the throaty, 80's background
vocals in "Stay Another Night" catch the casual listener off guard. The danceable
ease of "Rock Your Body" is appealing. It's a disc that feels hip yet timeless. It
could have been made 20 years ago, or it could have been made last week with a
throwback to 20 years ago. A sort of yummy organized chaos - mild freakouts. I mean
- they get loud and quick but they don't cut loose with wild abandon. But it's
lovely and groovable, nice for light parties and whatnot.
Song of choice :
I really like a lot of the songs on this album. "We Escape" is the one I'm currently
listening to, so I'll choose that one.
