I'm hearing a classic Canadiana sound - blatantly rock n' roll, blue jeans, a little country. The vocals are powerful and gritty, the mix is vibrant and alive. I really like it. Like drag-racing through dusty fields in Alberta. Balladry even in the title "Asleep at the Wheel" track. Quite nice. Like these guys should tour with Blue Rodeo or Tom Cochrane or something. You can envision a stage full of a dozen guest musicians singing along and playing tambourines and stuff. Or maybe something more akin to Woodstock.
