That's the best faux-word to describe this album if I were to sum it up in one word. A fitting addition to Nettwerk, what with the Sarah McLachlans of the world and all. Female-fronted, folksy and girly, with harmonies by other boys and girls, plenty of pianos and lutes and other folksy grab-bag instrument selections, Hem has created great music for lazy bike rides down country roads and picnics. Very nostalgic feeling and quite light and airy. Music for women, by women. And how cute to end the album with a true blue lullabye. Aw. Song of choice : I like "Curtains" for it's stage-play theatre Broadway musical sort of feeling.
