I really like the music in the opener "Like We Did Last Year," but the vocals are lukewarm - just my opinion. The verse is cool, but the chorus is weak. The jaunty-dark nature of "The Kids in this Town" reminds me of Morrissey. Somewhat theatrical and flaunty, one imagines much swaying and jovial faces by the folks playing and singing. Yet I'm kind of so-so on the whole thing. I feel like I want to love it but it lacks just the unique punch it needs to pup it up to an Arcade-Fire type whimsy. Fairly fun though.
