So far this is reminding me a bit of a Canadian folk Pearl Jam/Counting Crows thing.
So no, not like, say, Wintersleep... much more dirt-roads and country-cabins than
that. There's also a bit of twangy Hayden charm in it. It's not bad, slow, though I
find myself drifting away from paying much attention to it as it's playing along
here. I don't know if that's because it's too congruent and drifty perhaps... but it's nice.
A lot of the songs are sweet on their own before it all gets old as a whole. I like
"1913."
take out the boring stuff...
Song of choice :
"Martas Song" is really cute with Marta "forgot all the words". But "El Camino Pt 1"
and "Awkward Beauty" are really snazzy.
