Wow is this ever sleepy and minimalist. It also currently sounds like it was
recorded into the little microphone that comes with a home desktop PC. It's just
plain tooooo simple and bored-sounding. I think the intent is to be atmospheric and
drifty, but it doesn't quite reach that plateau. I am actually quite transported
back to my high school and the recording arts students. We had some pretty
impressive recording arts gear, but no one knew how to use it to its full potential.
I had a very good friend who recorded some songs that had the exact same feeling to
them - like you know there's potential in there (I knew for sure with my friend
because when i listened to her play live, it was fantastic), but the recording
quality makes it hard to dig that out. The opening to "Sorry" has a good
thrumming-on-the-edge-of-disaster thing going on that holds a lot of promise though.
Let's see if that can be kept up.
Nope, back to blah. Uninspired and clumsy. Sorry, Remora.
"weakness-strength" it is a weakness that you give me strength. This is a neat song too, better if it
were a hidden track or interlude on a different album than this. intermixed, it's
not different enough to be a standout, even though it's a cool song.
Song of choice :
"Sorry." It's also an instumental. Coincidence?
