The Purrs carry with them a wah-laden, half-Clash, half-Suede swagger that only a cocksure British band can pull off. Except for one thing - they're from Seattle. What? Is this the new grunge? The album is beautifully-crafted pop ... art! It's art. Straight-forward, no bullshit songs seemingly designed to make you move and make you make out. No really, it's a delightful sounding album. I'm only on track two and I'm enraptured by the roll of the guitars and the strings.
