Wolf Eyes
Human Animal.

Release Date : September 26, 2006.
Label: Sub Pop.
Rating: Jarring. (Screw points. To each his own!)

Man, what a spooky opening track this is. "A Million Years" is a lethal, industrial-minimalist venture with booming crunching sounds, squeaky brass, trill noises - good horror or suspense movie soundtrack fodder. I am disturbed. It's actually physically painful to listen to at times. Nails on a chalkboard. Actually, it appears we've moved on to the third track without me even being aware of it. So spooky. Check out 99 Rooms and you'll get an idea of what you might find on this album and the imagery it conjures up. I mean, this is honestly hard to listen to. I may need to take a break. I think they have achieved their goal! "Human Animal" is very deconstructed- Marilyn Manson-esque. Anyways, I have to stop listening for a bit. I am wound up. Oh and the front cover totally reminds me of The Grudge.

Song of choice : What? There are songs here??
